“ Bar Tulia Mercato offers a cozy, rustic ambiance with welcoming service. We kicked off our meal with a must-order: the oysters. Fresh and beautifully presented on ice, they come with classic accompaniments, including horseradish, cocktail sauce, mignonette, and a mini bottle of Tabasco for an extra kick. Next, we enjoyed the arancini, followed by the Jabroni and Margherita pizzas. The Jabroni pizza had a great flavor profile with a satisfying kick. One nice touch is the table-side grated cheese, red pepper flakes, and salt for seasoning. It may sound unusual, but if you order the Margherita pizza, try adding a sprinkle of salt--it makes a surprising difference! Order some cocktails and enjoy a lovely meal. ”

“ This was our first visit to Bar Tulia. We were very pleased with the food, drinks, and our server. We were less pleased with the cuteness of the hostess stand staff. We had made a reservation several weeks prior, selecting inside standard dining; however, we were seated outside, at a terrible table right on the main thoroughfare walkway. When I politely asked for a different table inside, the hostess acted like I was crazy, and I was essentially told there was no other option. We were not offered the option of waiting a bit for an appropriate table, which we would have done. Outside was incredibly loud and noisy to the point of not being able to even have a conversation, and it felt right in the middle of the many, many people walking through. ”

As an individual that has worked in the restaurant industry for years it's obvious they've put together an immaculate experience for the South West Florida community and visitors! Adam and Steven were awesome! Their knowledge of all things Bar Tulia helped us really dive into the Drinks and Entrees. I would definitely recommend the octopus to anyone visiting for the first time. Special thanks to Adam for creating the exact Martinis we were looking for! We will be back and often! ”

“ I don't often after a first visit rate a place beyond 4 stars...And I will not assume that the next person who visits Mercado will have the same experience, I can only speak for us. Usually first time impressions are often influenced by ambiance, quality of the food and drinks, and finally, the staff and their level of interaction with the customer. On this occasion, it would be appropriate to describe Mercado as a truly a great place to be in based on a first time visit! Adam and Andrew are absolutely amazing with their customer service, and eagerness to make sure that everything is just right. Their presence contributed to the ambiance of the place. Another first for me is that I haven't had an Italian martini made this well in a long time. My compliments to the bar! We will visit again. ”

“ Outdoor dining can't be beat. Area is private and covered in twinkle lights. Inside looked cozy with brick walls and bright lighting. Service was relatively good. Food came fast from the kitchen but waitress was a bit slow with taking orders and checking on us. She made some great drink recommendations. Special banana bread bourbon drink had aromatic spices. Old fashioned was best I have had in a while. Very smooth bourbon and not too sweet. Shared a pizza, salad and Bolognase. They change their menu so this was the new fall line up. Salad has plenty of sweet pear and crunchy crotons and was dressed perfectly. Pizza crust was airy and tasty with yeasty notes and a perfect bite I believe the prosciutto was topped with a sherry or brandy mayonnaise. My party was sceptic but ended up being their favorite dish. I loved every salty and sweet bite myself. The Bolognase was served with fresh al dente noodles and the sauce was a balance of sweet and tangy and was devoured by all 3 of us quickly. Consistent experience from the service to the ambience to the food and drinks. A must try. ”
